Magda Liliana Miranda
Hola! I'm Liliana – born and raised in Colombia, now living in England with my lovely husband and our cat (who’s suspiciously fluent in Spanish). I teach Spanish – but in a way that won’t make you want to cry into your textbook.
With over 20 years of experience, I bring a mix of warmth, patience, and just the right amount of gentle encouragement to help you actually enjoy learning Spanish – yes, enjoy, even the tricky bits.
Whether you’re starting from scratch or brushing up your skills for your next trip to Andalucía, or Bogotá, my lessons are tailored to you!!
I’ve worked with students of all ages – from tiny humans to very grown-up ones – and I’m fully DBS checked. I’m also powered by tea and a good playlist.
So if you fancy learning Spanish with a friendly, reliable teacher who won’t make you roll your eyes (at least not too often), I’d love to help!

What students say
"I have been learning Spanish for some time online but it just isn't the same as having lessons in person. Liliana is fantastic! Firstly starting with the basics and what I can cope with. Each lesson is somewhat different, adapting to the conversation we might have on arrival. I can highly recommend Liliana for her skills in teaching skills and calm manner".
"I very much enjoy my one to one Spanish conversation classes with Liliana. The varied topics of our weekly conversations not only improved my Spanish but gave me an insight into both Spanish and Latin American culture".

Liliana teaches me and two friends Spanish once a week, after first teaching our children. It’s the highlight of our week – for the kids and grown ups alike! We are a mixed-ability group, and Liliana manages to keep everyone engaged and learning something new, through role play, listening exercises, Spanish songs and lots more. I would highly recommend her classes!

Great fun, well prepared individual lessons. I'm fortunate to have found the classes with her. One to one has suited me best and because of L's teaching style, I have advanced and benefited greatly.
